Computation method
Method type: algorithm
Compose fixed English sentences from Chandrabalam, verified Gochara verdicts, named Shani conditions, and optional Tarabalam, then assign a small project-defined day-quality label.
Process
- Compute all nine Gochara verdicts and any named Shani condition.
- Compute the Moon house and good/puja/bad Chandrabalam verdict.
- Count favourable, blocked, and adverse Grahas.
- Label good when Moon is good and at least four Grahas are favourable; label difficult when Moon is bad and at most two are favourable; otherwise label mixed.
- Render deterministic opener, optional Tara sentence, condition sentence, eight ordered Graha lines, and a count summary.
Worked example
Mesha reading from the 2026-06-11 sunrise sky
Inputs
- Moon house: 12 (bad)
- Favourable Grahas: 2
- Blocked: 0
- Adverse: 7
- Condition: Sade Sati (rising phase)
Calculation
- Moon is bad and favourable count is at most 2, so day_quality=difficult.
- The fixed templates render the Moon opener, Shani condition, transit lines, and count.
Result
- Day quality: difficult
- Summary: 2 of 9 grahas favour you today.
Method notes
- Transit facts are rule-derived; the thresholds, life-area wording, and synthesis are declared project heuristics.
Contract
Owning layer: interpretation

Inputs
- Janma Rashi
- computed graha positions
- Gochara verdicts
Outputs
- deterministic explanatory reading

Scope: Supports the configured favourable houses counted from Janma Chandra for Surya, Chandra, Mangala, Budha, Guru, Shukra and Shani. The explicit houses in stanza 4 combine with its concluding statement that all Grahas are benefic in the 11th. It does not support the Vedha table, father-son exemptions, Rahu/Ketu convention, named Shani conditions, or the binary reduction of each transit to one verdict.

Scope: Supports every configured favourable-house-to-Vedha-house pair for Surya, Chandra, Kuja, Budha, Guru, Shukra and Shani, plus the Surya-Shani and Chandra-Budha exemptions. It does not support this project's Rahu/Ketu policy or named Shani conditions. Brihat Samhita Chapter 104 is not the authority for this layer.
